Job summary

Visiting Angels Midtown Sacramento is hiring part-time Home Care Aides (HCA) to enrich clients' quality of life in their homes across the Sacramento area. You will provide compassionate personal care, companionship, and support with mobility and daily activities.

Requirements include being 18+, fully vaccinated, a valid driver's license, and registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry. Training opportunities are available and benefits grow with tenure.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with proof
• Possess a valid driver license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Excellent time-management and ability to handle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties within dietary constraints
• Willing to comply with state and office health and safety standards (background check)
• Able to use a smartphone for EVV and caregiver notes
• Pass extensive background checks including Live Scan and TB screening
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry

As a Visiting Angels Part Time Home Care Aide (HCA), you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Part Time Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Ability to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
