Visiting Angels Midtown Sacramento, CA is hiring a Full Time Home Care Aide (HCA) to support elderly clients in Davis, Sacramento and surrounding areas. Earn $19–$21 per hour depending on availability and experience.

The role includes compassionate in-home care, light housekeeping, mobility support, meal prep, and medication reminders. Flexible shifts (full-time or part-time) with benefits after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the US.
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Capable of housekeeping and cooking tasks with dietary considerations.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (background checks).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ day.
• Must use a smartphone for EVV and caregiver notes.
• Able to pass extensive background checks including Live Scan.
• Negative TB screening within the last 90 days.
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry.

A Visiting Angels Full Time Home Care Aide - HCA wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Full Time Home Care Aide - HCA must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US
• Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with shot record
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Ability to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
