Job summary

Donor Network of Arizona is seeking an HLA Technologist for part-time, as-needed work in the Donor Network of Arizona HLA laboratory. The role supports ABO and donor histocompatibility testing, initial typing, and Real-Time PCR-based typing within a 24/7 operation.

Hours are flexible with on-call requirements from 6PM–8:30AM, weekends and holidays, and a minimum of 3–5 shifts per month. Requires advanced degree and CHS certification with several years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Meets state/federal regulatory requirements for laboratory personnel.
• Degree in a relevant laboratory science plus licensure or certification.
• Experience in histocompatibility or immunological testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ABO and donor histocompatibility testing and management.
• Determines donor HLA and ABO initial typing within turnaround time.
• Perform HLA typing using Real-Time PCR.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and QA/QC activities.
• Participates in transplant on-call rotation.
