Job summary

Shady Side Academy Senior School in Pittsburgh seeks a part-time History Teacher for Jan 5–May 30, 2026. You will teach two sections: 10th grade Patterns of Western Identity and 11th grade U.S. History, with duties assigned by the Senior School Head.

You will collaborate with the History Department and other offices to deliver student-centered lessons, support social-emotional growth, differentiate instruction, assess progress, and foster a safe, rigorous learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in History required.
• Master’s degree in History or education strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of secondary school teaching experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
