Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Student-Teaching Supervisor for a part-time role at Central Connecticut State University. This position involves mentoring and observing student teachers in history/social studies placements during spring semesters.

Qualifications

• Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) 026 endorsement for 7-12 teaching in history/social studies.
• Master’s degree or above.
• Experience teaching history/social studies in high school or middle school.
• Evidence of successful work with middle school and/or high school students.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and observe 1-4 student teachers in various CT public-school placements.
• Drive to CCSU and to middle and high schools for meetings and events.
• Coordinate and attend approximately 9-10 meetings and observations.
• Complete online digital evaluation forms for each candidate.
• Manage and communicate progress with the History/Social Studies Coordinator and host teachers.
