Job summary

University of New Mexico seeks Part‑Time University Supervisors to supervise student teachers in Elementary, Secondary or Early Childhood licensure programs. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of combined teaching and/or administrative experience in K-12 public school settings.
• Master’s degree in education or closely related field.
• Ability to travel to schools across New Mexico for classroom observations.
• Experience supervising pre‑student teachers and teacher candidates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student teachers (STs) through observations and assessments.
• Mentor assigned STs and support cooperating teachers (CT).
• Serve as primary contact for questions or issues related to placements.
• Establish university-CT relationships and communicate program expectations.
• Assist CTs with observation and evaluation forms and data entry.
