Job summary
Avon Grove School District is seeking a part-time Certified School Nurse to support our high school students starting January 4, 2027. The role focuses on promoting health, safety, and well-being within a school setting and coordinating care with families, staff, and community partners.
The ideal candidate holds PA Certification PK-12, a PA RN license, CPR/AED certification, and experience with diverse student populations.
Qualifications
- Must hold Pennsylvania Certification PK-12 for school nursing.
- Current PA RN license is required.
- CPR/AED certification is required and current.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing services to students and respond to medical emergencies.
- Assess and manage student health conditions, including chronic and acute illnesses.
- Develop and maintain individualized healthcare and emergency plans.
- Administer medications per physician orders and district policy.
- Conduct health screenings and coordinate follow-up care.
- Monitor immunization compliance and maintain health records.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Provide health education and consultation to students, staff, and families.
- Promote disease prevention and school-wide wellness initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality per laws and district policies.
