Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with high school students a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree recommended.
• Wide repertoire of teaching skills that suits a variety of learning styles.
• Comfort with technology and willingness to adopt new technologies as needed.
• Innovative teaching practices and a focus on student-centered learning.
• Strong collaboration and team-oriented working and leadership skills.
• Possess cultural competence in working with diverse populations; commitment to fostering an inclusive community.

Responsibilities

• Teach three (3) sections in the Math department including one (1) section of Math 2 and two (2) sections of Financial Literacy.
• Utilize best practices in teaching; implement curriculum and lessons; adapt as needed for each learner; maintain an open and safe classroom space.
• Attend weekly meetings on Tuesday afternoons.
• Foster a skills-centered, student-centered learning environment.
• Utilize technology and other educational tools to support student learning.
• Maintain student records including grades, comments, attendance, and progress reports using school systems.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support the School’s mission and values.
