Job summary

Think Together in California is seeking a Substitute High Dosage Tutor to provide part-time academic support for grades K-8. Under supervision, you will deliver daily small-group instruction, track progress, and foster a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, some college credit or an associate degree, and at least six months of experience with children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 48 semester/60 quarter hours preferred; may pass pre-employment test.
• Minimum six months of experience with children in classroom or afterschool setting.
• Ability to speak and write standard English for public-school use.
• Advanced Math and English skills for K-8.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily small group, targeted academic support using research-based curriculum.
• Support students in instructional settings, maintaining high standards of behavior and safety.
• Follow tutoring lessons with fidelity and track student progress.
• Build positive relationships and foster achievement-focused environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate paperwork for class sessions.
• Participate in training and use communication tools to monitor progress.
