Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Substitute High Dosage Tutor to provide part-time, high-quality support to students in grades K-8, under supervision. The role requires delivering targeted tutoring and promoting student achievement with flexible schedules.

The tutor will deliver small group instruction, collect mastery data, build positive relationships, and participate in ongoing training. Reliable transportation and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree (two years) or 48 semester hours and/or 60 quarter hours of college credits.
• Minimum six months of experience working with children in a classroom or afterschool setting.
• Able to speak and write Standard English appropriate in a public-school setting.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K-8).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily small group, targeted academic support using research-based curriculum.
• Supports students in an instructional setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety.
• Follow tutoring lessons with complete fidelity.
• Collect student mastery data and track results.
• Build positive, caring relationships with students.
• Support routines and procedures to maximize instructional time.
• Engage in pre-service and ongoing training and professional development.
• Use common communication tools and systems to track student progress and performance.
• Serve as a positive role model for youth in the program.
• Create an environment fostering a sense of belonging.
• Provide enriching experiences for youth and outlook on life.
• Maintain sign-in/sign-out sheets for each class session.
