Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks a Part-Time Equipment Operator to run trucks and heavy equipment at Gem County Solid Waste. This 19 hours/week role involves light vehicle maintenance, waste inspection, and guiding the public to transfer areas.

The position requires CDL with air brake endorsement, ability to pass UA testing, and availability across multiple shifts Monday–Saturday. Training provided, with minimal benefits noted.

Qualifications

• CDL, Class A or B license with air brake endorsement.
• Ability to pass random U.A. testing.
• Available to work varying shifts Monday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Transport solid waste bins between onsite locations and disposal sites.
• Operate trucks and heavy equipment as required.
• Manage scale, cash register, and payment devices with accuracy.
• Oversee Community Service programs with other county staff.
• Service county vehicles and heavy equipment and inspect them prior to return.
