Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a hospital location in Cleveland, OH to protect patients, staff, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.

You will perform access control, patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and document observations. This role offers flexible evening shifts and an opportunity to grow within a leading security company, with comprehensive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and access procedures while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare setting.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
