Job summary

Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, NY invites applications for Adjunct Teaching Faculty - Health for Fall 2026 to instruct HLTH230, Healthcare Ethics. Courses may be taught day, evening, online, hybrid, or HyFlex.

Adjunct instructors are expected to provide excellent teaching, prepare a syllabus aligned with the Master Course Syllabus, use the LMS, be available during office hours, and meet deadlines. NYS residency is required; background check is required.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Coaching or related field with relevant experience teaching the course skills.
Experience teaching in an accredited higher education institution is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent teaching and instruction.
Create, submit, and follow a syllabus that aligns with the Master Course Syllabus.
Use the Learning Management System to provide course materials to students.
Be available to students through office hours, timely grading, and responsive communication.
Read and abide by the policies listed in the Teaching Manual.
Submit all records by their respective deadline, including progress reports, student concern notices, and grades.
Understand and enact mission and values of TC3, and the equity, diversity, justice and inclusion plan.
