Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking adjunct nursing instructors to deliver high‑quality curriculum at the Lex D. Walters Campus and six county centers across Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Teach daytime, evening, online, and dual credit courses as available.

Candidates must be licensed RN or LPN with 2+ years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in long‑term care. LPNs require 2+ years in elderly or chronically ill care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or LPN with 2+ years nursing experience; at least 1 year in long-term care.
• LPN candidates must have 2+ years caring for elderly or chronically ill patients.
• Associate degree or higher preferred; instructor credentials in field are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver program curriculum in accordance with state and national standards.
• Prepare lectures and labs and use varied instructional methods.
• Coordinate and instruct clinical components of the program.
• Maintain accurate student records and meet reporting deadlines.
• Communicate with students, faculty, and staff regularly.
