Qualifications

• BS degree in healthcare or related field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical or medical assisting experience.
• Preferred healthcare industry certification from CEHRS, CBCS, CCA, BLS, CPT, CET, CCMA or RMA.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver in-class instruction with the approved curriculum.
• Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
• Prepare lesson plans for each class session.
• Deliver lectures and facilitate Project-Based Learning (PBL).
• Assist students in the learning process.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress with various assessment tools.
• Keep necessary records to report SAP to the Academic Dean.
• Attend and participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
• Stay informed about teaching advancements by attending professional development activities.
• Prepare students for real-world job skills and certifications when applicable.
• Contribute to program improvement through committee involvement.
• Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
