Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Entry Control in Hazleton, PA. You will help guard healthcare facilities and other sites, with a flexible schedule and access to our Shift-claim platform.

The role requires being at least 18, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing a background check and possibly licensing. The position offers meaningful work with a caring culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and direct individuals according to procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access records while protecting confidential information.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare facility entrances, restricted areas, and/or visitor checkpoints; verify credentials and direct individuals in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and/or access records while protecting confidential information.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
