Job summary

Fordham University’s Office of the Provost seeks part-time instructors for the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format at the Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, NY, with 1–2 courses per term and supervision of capstone projects for graduate students.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Health Informatics or related field with at least 3 years in healthcare or health IT, and prior graduate teaching experience in hybrid or online formats.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field; accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in healthcare or health IT.
• Graduate-level teaching experience; hybrid or online preferred.
• Proficiency with LMS (Blackboard) and virtual platforms (Zoom).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1–2 graduate courses per term.
• Deliver hybrid instruction with online and in-person sessions.
• Engage students with active learning and real-world applications.
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain regular virtual office hours and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure quality delivery.
• Stay current with health informatics trends and industry examples.
• Uphold academic integrity and foster an inclusive learning environment.
