Job summary

Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Health Aide (Part-Time) at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA. The role provides direct client care in a fast-paced facility with a focus on safety and compassionate support.

The position offers hourly pay of $20.00–$24.00 based on experience and does not include employment benefits. Shifts run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Six months experience performing direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and/or training for persons with physical, mental health and/or substance abuse disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Answers clients' call signals.
• Assists in administering medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood as directed.
• Bathes, grooms, shaves and dresses clients.
• Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.
• Ensures safety and security of clients.
• Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity.
• Prepares clients for treatment or examination.
• Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
• Transports clients to treatment units.
• Receives additional training to gain full proficiency in all areas.
