Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA, seeks a Health Aide to provide basic patient care and assist with daily living skills. Position requires six months of related experience and proficiency in basic nursing procedures and computer skills.

Shifts run 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. A national/state background check is required for employment. Salary ranges from $36,608 to $40,144 based on experience.

Qualifikationen

• Six months experience performing direct care activities, basic nursing procedures and/or training for persons with physical/mental health and substance abuse disabilities and/or recent military service in a related field.
• Proficient in computer skills.

Aufgaben

• Answers clients call signals
• Assists in administration of medications and treatments; takes vital signs; may draw blood or collect fluids.
• Bathes, grooms, shave and dresses clients
• Conducts activities for recreation and socialization
• Ensures safety and security of clients
• Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves
• Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity
• Prepares clients for treatment or examination
• Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
• Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher
• Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas.
