Job summary

Grand Portage Head Start is seeking a part-time Assistant Cook to help prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for both Early Head Start and Preschool programs. You will assist with stocking, inventory and ordering of food and kitchen items, and help maintain clean and organized kitchen and storage areas.

Ideal candidates have cooking experience and a high school diploma or GED. A background check and pre-employment drug testing are required, with American Indian Preference applying.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Cooking experience and/or training preferred.
• Light computer skills may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of breakfast, lunch and snacks for Early Head Start and Preschool programs.
• Maintain kitchen and storage areas.
