Job summary

Jefferson County Head Start is seeking a part-time Health Aide to provide direct care and support to students with medical needs during the school day. You will assist with healthcare plans, monitor conditions, and follow safety protocols under the nurse's direction.

This temporary, non-benefit role offers 20–30 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm, primarily in Arvada. Compensation ranges from $19.89 to $25.00 per hour, with on-site professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; healthcare education or training preferred.
• Experience: Experience with children or medical needs preferred.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification; may be required.
• Driver's license may be required for driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals and snacks per Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines.
• Support students with medical needs, personal care, mobility, toileting, feeding.
• Perform delegated health-related tasks as trained and authorized.
• Maintain a safe, confidential environment and communicate with the nurse.
• Occasionally supervise children and support classroom activities.
