Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
- Proactively approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers simultaneously.
- Move throughout the checkout area performing standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to complete transactions accurately.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe's.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and guide them through projects when needed.
- Show sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product, warranty, and feature information effectively.
- Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
- Handle monetary transactions accurately and support front-end team.
- Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Open additional registers when needed to ensure efficient checkout.
- Assist with line vesting to improve checkout speed.
In-stock
- Prepare the register area at shift start and end, ensuring equipment functionality and stock.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Manage customer orders, verify receipts, and handle loading tickets.
- Review and process online orders and returns.
- Verify prices and look up product information for price matching.
- Record store-use items.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash levels and security bags.
- Control store entrances/exits and assist with security alarms.
- Detect and report shoplifting and security risks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization per standards.
- Ensure a safe working environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
- Operate store equipment as required by role.
General
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and explaining warranties and features.
- Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe's store departments.
- Supervisory experience including delegation and coaching.
- Experience in shoplifting detection.
