Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Approach and interact with customers to proactively recommend products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thank customers and invite them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Show sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product information, warranties, and features.
• Coach, develop, and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Use a cash register for sales, returns, and refunds as per guidelines.
• Handle monetary transactions accurately.
• Support and supervise the Front End Team.
• Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers when needed.
• Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare the register area at shifts' start and end, ensuring equipment functionality and stock.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Manage customer orders, verify receipts, and load merchandise.
• Review and process online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and match competitors.
• Record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
• Assist with security and shoplifting prevention.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure a safe environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard reporting.
• Operate store equipment as needed.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs analysis.
• Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience detecting shoplifting.
