Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers across registers.
• Move around the checkout area to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service consistent with Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer questions and guide them through projects.
• Show sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product, warranty, and service information.
• Train and coach associates in departmental duties.
• Process sales, returns, and refunds via cash register.
• Handle cash accurately and support front-end team.
• Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed.
• Assist in line management for faster checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at start/end of shift.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Manage customer orders and verify receipts.
• Process online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and match competitor prices.
• Record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and security bags.
• Oversee store entrances/exits for security.
• Identify and report shoplifting or security risks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure safety standards and operate store equipment.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales and customer needs assessment.
• Experience as a head cashier and in retail departments.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in theft detection.
