Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is hiring a Part-Time Occupational Therapist (CHT preferred) to join our orthopedic/hand therapy team at the St. Joseph - Surf location.

The role requires 16 hours per week, with focus on evaluations, hand rehabilitation, and orthotic fabrication within an integrated care model. The ideal candidate has outpatient hand therapy experience, comfort with orthotics, and enthusiasm for professional growth, working closely with physicians and therapists to deliver

Qualifications

• Out-patient hand therapy experience required.
• Experience with custom orthotics/splinting.
• CHT preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and be a team player.
• Interest in working with athletes and diverse patient types.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial evaluations and sets treatment plans with functional goals.
• Fabricates and dispenses upper extremity orthotics as needed.
• Completes documentation to physicians (evals, progress, discharge).
• Maintains discharge readiness and updates goals as needed.
• Communicates with physicians and team to maximize outcomes.
• Supervises/mentors rehabilitation technicians when applicable.
• Supports continuing education and collaboration with physicians.
