Greater Somerset County YMCA is seeking a part-time Gymnasium Supervisor for Evening and Weekend shifts at Somerset County, New Jersey. The role engages, mentors and supervises teen and young adult members, upholding the YMCA's member-first culture and safety standards.

You will model the core values, facilitate basketball and other sports programming, address member concerns, and document end-of-shift reports with the Sports Coordinator. Flexible schedules welcome.

Qualifications

• At least three years of member/customer service or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lead others, make quick decisions and work as a team.
• Ability to supervise a safe gym environment and provide a quality experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire (training provided).
• Able to stand for extended periods with stamina and agility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and positive relationships between members in the gym.
• Serve as Role Model on Duty and promote YMCA values.
• Facilitate basketball and other sports programming.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive culture.
• Address member concerns and document solutions with branch leadership.
• Engage members and build relationships during shifts.
• Complete end-of-shift report and submit electronically.
