The Salvation Army in Missouri is seeking a part-time music program coordinator to lead music and arts activities for both children and adults. The role involves weekly lesson planning, curriculum execution, and organizing year-end recitals in addition to community events that promote the mission.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• A minimum of two years’ music experience working with children/adults. Performance experience preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: None
• Demonstrated proficiency in music theory and in a primary instrument.
• Personal knowledge of music, including performance, education, and theory.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Must be a team player, self-starter, and follow through with assignments until completion.
• A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
• A strong commitment to support and promote the mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsabilidades

• Lead music and other arts programs as assigned; plan weekly music lessons and implement curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals; represent corps music programs at end-of-year concert.
• Encourage participants toward goals and development of musical abilities and self-esteem.
• Organize musical performances and community activities to promote the corps' mission.
• Encourage attendance at summer camps and plan participation in divisional and day camps.
• All other duties as assigned.
