Job summary

U.S. Coast Guard Community Services Command in Kodiak, AK seeks a Desk Clerk for the MWR Guest House. The role includes interviewing guests to assign quarters, answering questions about rules, and issuing room keys.

Responsibilities include exceptional guest service, safety, smooth check-in/out, and maintaining the lobby and coffee area. Intermittent 0–19 hours/week with pay of $16.80/hour plus DOE. Background checks and clearances required.

Qualifications

• Ability to interview guests to determine status and assign quarters.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English to communicate with guests and staff.
• Ability to handle guest interactions with tact and patience.
• Background check will be conducted after hire and employment contingent on favorable results.
• Physically able to lift 25 lbs and carry for a reasonable distance.
• Ability to stand and work long hours.
