Job summary

Bentley Legacy is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to warmly greet guests, register arrivals, and assist with reservations and guest services during their stay.

You will handle check-ins/outs, answer questions about hotel amenities and local attractions, and help with packages, messages, and emergencies while maintaining professionalism and a tidy front desk.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is a plus.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests at arrival and during stay.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly manner.
• Provide outstanding guest service and answer questions about facilities and hours.
• Maintain knowledge of rates, packages, and promotions.
• Receive, log, and distribute packages and messages.
• Assist with reservations and guest requests as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision and remain calm under pressure.
• Ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and safe.

Description

Our Front Desk Agents are the first face our guests see, and we want it to be a welcoming and friendly one. They are responsible for greeting and registering the guest, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest's account upon completion of their stay. Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making and modifying reservations, hotel phone operator, and guest services.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates with a smile.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations.
• Answer guest inquires about hotel service facilities and hours of operation.
• Be aware of all rates, packages, and special promotions.
• Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all property amenities, as well as any special events, local area attractions, and things to do near the hotel.
• Operate Front Desk computer system.
• Receive, log and distribute packages, mail, and messages as needed to guests and meeting rooms.
• As needed deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, amenities or other items requested by guests or team members
• Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned which may include but is not limited to the following: helping coworkers in other areas of the hotel, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and overall cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel and grounds.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college course work in related field helpful.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field a PLUS.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
• An operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Willing and able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to work with little or no supervisionDemonstrate the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve.
