Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Host to welcome guests at our travel centers, delivering warm, efficient service and promoting daily specials. You will handle POS transactions and support kitchen and dining operations in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

The role offers flexible hours, opportunities for growth, and a benefits package including health coverage, 401(k), vacation, and meal discounts. Prior food service experience and good communication are a plus.

Qualifications

• A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
• Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.
• Previous food service experience a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service
• Welcome and serve each customer courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude
• Be knowledgeable of menu items and promote daily specials
• Process transactions of customers on a point-of-sale (POS) register
• Prioritize your work according to the kitchen and dining guest needs
• Maintain equipment per operating standards
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling and/or preparing food
• Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
