Job summary

Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ is seeking a part-time Restaurant Host to support front-of-house operations for the Culinary Institute, including dining room service, POS and reservations, and event coverage. Qualifications

Must be an active student at Sussex County Community College.
Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner.
Must be able to speak, read, write English clearly.
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods around kitchen labs, dining room and storage areas.
Demonstrates ability to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Willingness to handle demanding workloads with professionalism.
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assist with front-end operations and POS/reservations systems.
Take orders and provide dining service to guests.
Serve food and beverages and clear tables.
Perform sidework such as polishing and storing equipment.
Support culinary institute operations and special events, including nights and weekends.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
