Job summary

Shelby Farms Park Conservancy in Memphis, TN seeks a Part Time Sales Associate for the Lake's Edge Gift Shop and Pine Lake Outpost. You will engage Park guests, handle merchandise sales, and support fundraising events while upholding exceptional customer service standards.

The role reports to the Visitor Services Supervisor and Sales Lead, with responsibilities across guest experience, revenue, and event-related activities. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule: must be available to work weekends and some holidays/school breaks.
• Excellent communication skills and desire to provide a friendly customer experience.
• Experience with cash handling and POS transactions.
• Demonstrates values of collaboration, accountability, authenticity, trust, and learning.
• Able to work with diverse guests and teammates in a busy park gift shop environment.
• Energetic, dependable, and self-motivated with strong self-awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Park guest service that reflects the program's standards.
• Accurately complete customer purchases and process payments via POS.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the gift shop area.
• Follow opening and closing shift procedures.
• Establish professional rapport with customers and answer questions.
• Know Park amenities, programs, and hours to assist guests.
• Assist with merchandise sales for fundraising events throughout the year.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Lead, Visitor Services Supervisor, and Director.
