Job summary

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science is seeking a Great Start Readiness Program preschool aide to support the lead teacher and peers in creating a positive learning environment. You will help prepare materials, assist with routines, and promote safety and inclusivity for all students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Compliance with Bureau of Community and Health Systems requirements including TB test, CPR/First Aid, and fingerprint screening.
• Exemplary work habits verified by references.

Responsibilities

• Assist the GSRP Teacher in preparing classroom for instruction.
• Keep classroom neat and orderly to support learning.
• Collect and display materials for bulletin boards and displays.
• Support licensing rules implementation and compliance.
• Utilize resources to support learning activities in the classroom and academy.
• Supervise students during play and lunch periods as needed.
• Provide a safe, positive learning environment and model responsible citizenship.
• Support marketing and enrollment efforts in the community.
