Job summary

Bounds Family YMCA in Daphne, AL is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead safe, engaging fitness classes that support the YMCA’s mission and promote healthy living for all.

You will demonstrate proper technique, offer modifications for all levels, create a welcoming environment, ensure participant safety, arrive prepared for each class, and report incidents or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current group exercise certification from a nationally recognized organization or YMCA-approved equivalent
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the YMCA mission and core values

Responsibilities

• Lead group exercise classes in accordance with YMCA standards
• Demonstrate proper technique and offer modifications for all fitness levels
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment
• Ensure participant safety and follow YMCA policies and procedures
• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes
• Report incidents, injuries, or equipment issues to the supervisor
