Indiana University Bloomington is seeking part-time, in-person Group Exercise Leaders for Recreational Sports. You will design and lead various fitness classes (yoga, cycling, dance, strength) at IU facilities and ensure a welcoming, safe environment for students, staff, and community members.
The role requires staying punctual, following playbooks, and mentoring peers, with 4+ hour weekly minimum commitments and flexible scheduling.

In this role, a person will lead fun, safe, and engaging fitness sessions for fellow students, staff and public members at the SRSC, Bill Garrett Fieldhouse, and occasionally other campus locations. Whether it's yoga, cycle, dance, or strength training, they will help create a positive and motivating environment where everyone feels welcome. Group Exercise Leaders create a positive and motivating environment for students, staff, and community members across our facilities and in other locations across campus. They also play a key role in supporting healthy lifestyles and building community through movement. These roles offer a great opportunity to stay active, develop leadership and communication skills, and become part of a supportive campus community. A person in this role also gain valuable experience in customer service, group facilitation, logistical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills that are transferable to any future career.
These positions require frequent moving about the workspace. Positions require working both indoors and outdoors and ability to move up to 50 pounds with assistance. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This is an in-person position.
Onsite work will take place at the following campus recreation facilities:
$16.95 per hour
Minimum of 4 hours per week, with flexible scheduling by position depending on availability
Early morning, evening and weekend shifts may be required.
No position should exceed 29 hours per week across all campus positions.
