Job summary

Kittle Property Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time or full-time grounds/maintenance worker to keep outdoor areas clean and safe. You will be responsible for trash removal on the grounds, cleaning hallways, and performing snow removal during winter months.

Responsibilities also include handling trash-outs of vacated units, minor repairs, and other duties as assigned. A High school diploma or GED and minimal prior experience are required. The role calls for physical work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions and simple information.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Make sure the grounds are free of trash. Clean and sweep up trash and handle or assist with trash-outs of units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick up trash on grounds
• Clean out hallways
• Snow Removal
• Trash-outs of vacated units including but not limited to removal of debris, furniture, and appliances, painting and minor repair work.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and present information one-on-one or in small groups.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s & 100s
• Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions with common sense understanding. Ability to deal with problems that involve few variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly must stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or bend.
• Regularly must lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally must talk or hear.
• Occasionally must lift 26-100 pounds.
• Rarely must sit, climb or balance.
• Rarely must lift more than 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Normally works in an environment with moderate noise.

• Will be working outdoors year-round.
• Regularly must work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally must work in conditions that are wet or humid, extremely cold or extremely hot (non-weather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles.
• Rarely must work in high, precarious places, near toxic or caustic chemicals, with risk of electrical shock, with vibration.
• There is no risk of radiation or working with explosives.
