Job summary

The Barrington School District is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Personnel for 25 hours per week. Responsibilities include opening buildings, preparing grounds, mowing, trimming, and keeping the campus safe and clean.

Tasks also cover winter snow removal, equipment upkeep, and occasional travel to the Barrington Highway Department for fuel and service needs. Prior grounds experience is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with grounds maintenance or school grounds is a plus.
• Comfort with operating basic upkeep tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Open buildings and disarm security when required.
• Mow, trim, blow leaves, remove debris from curbs and grounds.
• Remove fallen branches and perform spring clean-up tasks.
• Assist with snow removal and salt handling during winter.
• Check water readings and status of water filtration systems.
• Fuel vehicles and small equipment; may travel to Barrington Highway Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe school grounds environment.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil changes, blade changes).

Grounds Maintenance Personnel

Part Time 25 hours/week

The Barrington School District is looking for part time staffing for a grounds maintenance person. This is job consist of:

• Opening all buildings and disarming.
• Mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, removal of sand and debris from curbing areas, removal of tree limbs, spring clean up.
• Snow removal, tractor work, shoveling, salting, replenishing salt buckets, swap out salt buckets fall and spring.
• Take water readings, and check the status of water filtration systems.
• Gas up vehicles, mowers, tractors, etc. as needed. This requires going to the Barrington Highway Department.
• Keeping the district grounds in a clean, safe environment.
• Capable of working on equipment, oil changes, blade changes on mowers, weed wacker heads, chainsaws, etc.
