Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a part-time associate to join our family-owned store in Sumter, SC. You’ll help guests with friendly service, stock shelves, and maintain backroom organization to keep shopping smooth and safe. The role requires physical stamina, willingness to learn, and the ability to carry 40–60 lb loads.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and coworkers.
• Stock and rotate groceries on shelves per standards.
• Maintain neat and safe work area for guests.
• Keep backstock organized and inventoried.
• Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control.
• Assist unloading and verifying deliveries.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor and backroom.
• Handle front-end duties to minimize wait times.
• Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
