Job summary

Kimberton Whole Foods, Inc. in Wyomissing is seeking a part-time Grocery Clerk to join our team. Shifts include midday and evenings (10:00 AM–8:30 PM) with up to 24 hours per week and one weekend shift per week.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and available for the stated schedule. The role offers pay ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits after eligibility. A 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with 3% match after one year and 1000 hours

• Perform Kimberton Whole Foods inventory management practices.
• Assist the front-end department by scanning groceries, completing transactions, and bagging groceries.

Kimberton Whole Foods is looking for a part-time Grocery Clerk to join the Wyomissing team!

Availability: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week. One weekend shift per week is required.

Schedule: Midday and evenings shifts within a 10am-8:30pm timeframe.

Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 hourly to start, depending on experience

Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.

The Grocery Clerk's Primary Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all


• Receive and stock all dry goods, cold beverages, household, and bulk items


• Rotate backstock on a first-in first-out basis


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage


• Perform KWF inventory management practices


• Assist the font-end department by scanning customers' groceries, completing transactions, and bagging groceries.

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.


• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.


• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.


• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.


• Standing- prolonged standing.


• Work environment – movement based with most of the time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).


• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
