Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Center Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Grocery Department. You will maintain shelves, ensure accurate stocking, and support store operations daily.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, adherence to safety guidelines, and the use of standard company tools to manage inventory and ordering. Training is provided to perform CBT courses and mandatory procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings while stocking.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to Food Lion guidelines and safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents as required.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and maintain a neat appearance.
