Dierbergs Markets is seeking a part-time Grocery Cart Attendant to support cashiers and keep the store running smoothly. You will retrieve carts, assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles, and maintain cart areas to ensure a clean and welcoming shopping experience.

Requirements include being at least 16 years old, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Weekly attendance and proper grooming are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and load groceries into carts.
• Able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on schedule.
• Adherence to dress code, appearance and hygiene standards.
• Tolerance to environmental changes and temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve carts from the parking lot using a cart strap and safety vest.
• Assist customers by loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Maintain cart areas and remove debris from carts, floor and parking lot.
• Distribute hand baskets and keep aisles tidy.
• Keep check lanes organized and stocked with bags.
• Sweep and mop floors when maintenance is unavailable.
• Support cashiers with change requests and item retrieval.
