Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is hiring a Part Time Grocery Cart Attendant. You will support cashiers by loading carts, assisting customers, and keeping the store tidy and well-stocked, contributing to a smooth customer experience across shifts.

The role requires being physically capable, available for weekends/holidays, and able to work outdoors in varying weather while maintaining a neat appearance and adherence to dress code. Weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 30 pounds, and to load groceries into customer carts.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on schedule.
• Adherence to dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• Must tolerate environmental changes and exposure to hot/cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve carts from the parking lot using a cart strap and safety vest.
• Offer to carry out and load purchases into customers' vehicles.
• Pick up and dispose of debris from carts, floors and parking lot.
• Distribute hand baskets around the store.
• Return items to proper locations and maintain aisle conditions.
• Keep check lanes organized and stocked with bags.
• Sweep and mop floors when maintenance is not available.
• Assist Cashiers with change requests and guest services transactions.
• Load carpet cleaning rental machine into customers' car.
• Ensure proper bagging techniques to protect customer items.
• Stock advertisements.
