Job summary

Smart & Final in Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time Associate for the Midtown Extra store at 444 Los Angeles. The role involves stocking, operating a cash register, and delivering friendly customer service.

Starting rate is $18.50 per hour. You will assist with inventory, pricing rotation, and maintaining clean store areas, while helping customers and supporting the Store Manager. Flexible scheduling and training provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed or simple instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store sections and stock merchandise, set up displays, and ensure proper pricing and date codes.
• Clean and sanitize interior and exterior areas of the store as directed.
• Operate a cash register, handle payments, and process refunds.
• Assist customers by providing information and loading purchases into vehicles when needed.
• Record and track inventory and store supplies.
