Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• At least two years of professional writing and editing experience, preferably in marketing, communications, or higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, compelling content for web, press, newsletters, and print collateral.
• Strong copyediting and proofreading skills with attention to grammar, style, and brand consistency.
• Experience collaborating with designers to align written content with visual assets.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality, brand-aligned graphics across digital and print channels.
• Ensure all creative work reflects UT brand guidelines and professional standards.
• Collaborate with the Social Media & Design Manager on concepts and campaigns.
• Maintain visual consistency across the school's departments.
• Liaise with printers and vendors for production as needed.
• Create and maintain Canva templates for recurring communications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field

2+ years of professional writing/editing experience

Strong copywriting and proofreading

Collaborating with designers or creative partners

Excellent organizational and multi-project management
