Job summary

Peralta Community College District is seeking qualified Part-time Faculty to provide high-quality instruction and student support in alignment with the District's mission of advancing equity, student success, and academic excellence. Assignments are made on an as-needed basis and may include day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid classes at any of the District's colleges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with two years of related professional experience; OR
• Associate degree from an accredited college with six years of related professional experience; OR equivalency as defined by District procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in alignment with approved outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver student-centered instruction using evidence-based practices.
• Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
• Submit grades and reports by deadlines.
• Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment for diverse students.
• Maintain regular communication with students and respond to inquiries.
• Utilize the District LMS and other instructional technologies.
