Overview

The Part-time Graphic Artist utilizes current graphic design software to create promotional materials. This includes designing and producing items such as menus for restaurants, table tents, and banners for both on-premise and retail customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design sample layouts based on layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
2. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; select style and size of type.
3. Prepare final electronic versions for printing and create printed mock-ups to reflect the final product expectations.
4. Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for illustrations, logos, and other materials as needed.
5. Follow current creative design trends to ensure materials align with industry standards and adhere to corporate branding guidelines.
6. Mount adhesive material to coroplast.
7. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite 3, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on a PC.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly organized.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Art, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Physical Demands

• Standing and sitting for extended periods.
• May include walking, pulling, bending, reaching, carrying, standing, and stooping.
• Occasional lifting, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
