Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard Readiness in New York, NY to monitor and patrol government locations, provide customer service, and uphold site policies while maintaining a visible security presence. You will join a team that emphasizes agility, reliability, and integrity.

The role offers flexible DayTime and overnight shifts, with pay at $18.87 per hour and access to our shift-claiming platform for additional opportunities and training for career growth.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with facility protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government facility interiors, exterior areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a respectful, professional approach with individuals receiving public services.
