Qualifications

• Master's degree in political science or government, or JD/MPA with relevant coursework (18 graduate hours).
• Experience with teaching government/political science at the college level is preferred.
• Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Government courses at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons promoting student involvement and application of material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Follows course syllabi and institutional guidelines.
• Advises students before/after class or by appointment; communicates electronically.
• Evaluates student progress and informs students promptly.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
