Job summary

Lone Star College-Atascocita Center is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Government courses on a part-time basis. Classes are offered day, evening and weekend at various locations in the Houston area.

The role requires a Master's degree in political science/government or 18 graduate hours in related courses, with strong teaching ability and commitment to student success. Expect flexible scheduling and opportunities to engage students with diverse learning modalities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in political science/government or 18 graduate hours in related political science/government courses.
• Experience in delivering Government courses or related social sciences is preferred.
• Familiarity with learning technologies, distance learning, and course development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Government courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
