Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Part-Time Commercial Transactions Attorney to support our legal team with government contracts, grants, and complex commercial agreements. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, assess regulatory risks, and work with cross-functional teams to embed compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in government contracts or in-house roles, JD from an accredited school, and an active U.S. bar.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including government contracts, commercial leases, service agreements, MOUs, data sharing agreements and other contracts.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, flow-down clauses, and compliance obligations associated with government contracts.
Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate contract compliance into core processes.
Support other legal or compliance-related projects as assigned by SVP.
